Hey You Goal Setters! The New Year Is About To Arrive!

February 11th, 2010

It’s getting close to the New Year, traditionally a time for looking back on the previous year and setting in place, some resolutions and some goals, for the future.
Everyone discusses making resolutions and goals. We laugh about the ones we put in place the year before, or the year before that. And we plan for the future. The intent is real. We actually have the will to change the way we do things. But in essence, how many of us adhere to the new resolutions? How many of us are successful at achieving our resolutions? Sadly, far too many of us fail in our plans to change our lives. So many people remain short-changed and wanting.
But look here, makes sense to set the resolution in the first place and why we need to. The advent of the new year has been no tolling of the bell loudly there. There is a noticeable temperature change. Not change the rules for living. The only difference between the observations from my perspective, now hangs on the wall is a new calendar.
So why, at the end of the year, we all feel obliged to try to change too? What is it about the human psyche that challenges us every year to renew our goals for the future? Is it that we have a built-in need to improve on our lives from one year to the next? Maybe we have the desire to challenge us to new frontiers, so that others nod their heads. Maybe, just maybe, there are more of us have a built in need to grow, so that we can help others do the same. Maybe! Whatever the reasons, why is it that so few of us succeed, significant and lasting changes in our lifestyle?
The reality is that our goal is often just a small desire to bully. Their lack of specificity. They need to hone and perfect. You see the work of the resolution, they must be absolutely clear. They must be oriented to time, short-, medium-and long-term, the most important thing is, they must also be achievable.
Until recently, my goal is to establish was not too many. Perhaps it is some non-specific way of my work, I recently learned it, to my absolute horror, for me, by year, most of my life there is no other After the change, tend to be one single slide.
Now let us be clear this point. I am not one to be dragged into my course of action. If I decide to do, I usually carry the action. But the clever, almost invisible, or so it seems, I find myself the slightest Close this should be a concrete way. Very easy to make such a reason – too busy, require the occupier can not say no a lot of time, or not my target, we can see every day. Last one, I believe that this will be a!
Only recently I realized that over the next 10 years have passed since I had left my plan, the traditional workplace, in order to pursue another career. We believe that in the formulation and to achieve our goals for a long time for 10 years. The reality is that time flies! As of this time, know that I decided to start writing my goal as a catalyst.
As Benjamin Ways said, “The tragedy in life doesn’t lie in not reaching your goal. The tragedy lies in having no goal to reach.”
You see, just by recording your dreams and goals on paper, you set in motion the process of becoming the person you most want to be. There is only one set of hands in which to place your future, and that is your own.
So, you will do an hour when the bell sounded, indicating that in the new year? You have forged the future What is the goal? Maybe you can only right that their thought processes. I ask you to be prepared. I ask you to let them write Chinese characters for your day to day with them. Time is in the near future. Now is the time. Do not miss!
